Our Camping Facility
We are a private campground open to groups or individuals who are interested in enjoying the beauty, vastness and tranquility of the Adirondack mountains.
Visitors will have easy access from their camp to the Brookfield Trail System . Brookfield is 13,000 acres of beautiful wilderness and 130 miles of marked trails, cared for by the NYS Horse Council. Along the trails you will find lean-to's, waterfalls, lakes and historical landmarks. The trails are clearly marked and maps are available. We are about 3 hours from the Tapanzee Bridge. New Berlin, NY is located in the vicinity of Cooperstown, Unidilla and Oneonta. Our camping facility is located approximately 49.5 miles North of Deposit when traveling on Route 8.
Accommodations Include
A pavilion with 4 bathrooms which includes hot/cold showers, and a comfort lounge with restaurant style seating for 24 people.

Covered 5' x 10' pipe stalls with latch gates for your horse available on a first come first serve basis and a 110' X 220' outdoor riding arena.

All individuals who participate in one of our events will have easy access to the Brookfield Trail System. Camping Packet
For your convenience, we have made our packets available for you to print out. In this packet you will find information such as the Property Use Release Form, Directions, a Camping Suggestion List, Local Area Attractions and Activities for the non-horse person in your group and our Campground Policies.
Please be advised that all parties who either plan to participate in an event, stay as an auditor or just come visit for the day must arrive with a signed Property Use disclaimer form. Parents must sign for anyone under the age of 18. All files are in PDF format. If you are unable to print out a packet, please contact us and we will mail one to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you supply horses to rent?
A: No, at this time all guests must arrive with their own horse.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the campground?
A: Yes, dogs are allowed, however, they must be kept in a portable pen and walked on a leash. Pens are not supplied.
Q: Will I be able to buy hay, grain, shavings and supplies while I am there?
A: Yes, there is a local feed store that will supply hay, grain, shavings and any basic supplies that you will need. Most stores in our area close around 5pm, so please be sure that you arrive prepared the first day or night that you arrive.
Q: How can I make sure I get a stall for my horse?
A: We currently have 25 covered stalls that are obtained on a first come first serve basis. In order to gurarantee yourself a stall, you must register on the website. Once you have registered you will receive an invoice. Stalls will be guaranteed upon completion of payment. Please be sure to include the number of people attending and the number of stalls you will need in the comment box when you RSVP.
